At Little Jewels, we offer gentle and effective treatments for children of all ages. Our paediatric practitioners, including Candace and our wider team, are highly trained and deeply child-focused. We understand that every child is unique, each session is guided by your child’s comfort, curiosity, and pace.

A Gentle Approach

For many parents, the idea of acupuncture needles can feel daunting. However, nine times out of ten, parents are surprised by how calm and willing their child is to continue after their first treatment. We take time to explain everything carefully and move slowly, ensuring trust and safety come first.

When a child prefers not to use needles, we have a range of alternative therapies available, including:

• Paediatric massage

• Cupping

• Moxibustion

• Shonishin (a gentle, non-needle Japanese technique)

• Laser therapy

These methods allow us to maintain effective results while honouring each child’s readiness and preferences.

Education & Family Support

Our treatments also include a complimentary educational element for parents and families. Practitioners share insights into your child’s unique constitution through the lens of Chinese Medicine. Using the Five Elements.... Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood we explore your child’s strengths, sensitivities, and developmental needs.

Over time, this understanding deepens and empowers families with practical tools such as:

What Does Acupuncture Treat?

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can support a wide range of conditions, always tailored to the individual child.

Common presentations we see in the clinic include:

• Anxiety or heightened sensitivity

More broadly, paediatric acupuncture can also assist with allergies, asthma, immune imbalances, emotional wellbeing, and chronic pain.

HOMEOPATHY

Homeopathy appointments for children are available for acute or chronic related conditions. An acute related appointment will be scheduled for 15mins to give fast relief for the child suffering acute pain, emotion, infection, fever, vomiting, cough earache, conjunctivitis, acute skin conditions and many others.

A health condition of chronic nature involves an initial appointment for 90 minutes. The initial consultation is very thorough and in-depth. We will look at your child's medical and family history, pregnancy and childbirth, and your child's current physical symptoms. We will also talk about your emotional challenges and the stressful situations for the child. We will discuss health goals for your child and changes we can expect with homeopathy.

After the session, Ania will prepare a healing plan for your child and unique healing remedies. These will be ready for you to start within a few days. Homeopathic remedies create healing ripples in the body that remove emotional and physical patterns to get your child back into balance.

Homeopathic remedies taste nice making them easy to take for children. They are coming in the form of little white pillules which kids love or liquid remedy, which are easy to take.

ŚIŚU ABHYAṄGA (oil masage)

An ancient Āyurvedic practice that brings you back to yourself and supports your body’s innate wisdom of absolute health. Using organic medicated oils to nourish your tissues deeply,working with the subtle energy points of the body(marmas), specific strokes dependant on the season and your constitution.

Calms the nervous system, stimulates the lymphatic system, eliminates toxins as the oil pulls toxins from deep tissues of the body, lubricates joints, decreases effects of aging, increases deeper sleep, improves immunity.

Mobile option for Postpartum Family package includes 2x75-minute Abhyaṅga and baby Abhyaṅga.

YOGA THERAPY (ages 15+)

Yoga Therapy is a combination of individualised Yogic practices, postures and even meditation based tools which empower your child to improve their condition through self-action. To cultivate an attitude which enables them to engage in life with stability in mind and emotions, and which restores balance to the body.

This multidimensional approach identifies and recognises the interrelationship between the gross level of the physical body and the subtle layers that lie beyond, which effect energy levels, mood, thoughts, behaviour and relationships. It is a structured process (typically requiring 3, one-on-one sessions) resulting in a specifically tailored daily practice to implement, which actively supports agreed positive health outcome(s). No background in Yoga is required, however a keen interest to creating new habits, is essential.

ACUTONICS

Acutonics is a health modality that uses finely attuned tuning forks that behold healing planetary frequency. Each tuning fork has an exquisite sound that is like nothing else. They are peaceful, angelic and deeply relaxing.

We use only the highest quality tuning forks and apply their tones to meridians and Acupuncture points in a systematic way to maintain a therapeutic treatment for each individual child. Our highly trained Acutonics practitioner, will apply specific frequencies to specific points to balance and sooth any disharmony in the body.

Children benefit from Acutonics specifically for relaxation and nervous system related conditions. As well as digestive conditions, ear nose and throat conditions, pain, sleep conditions, restlessness, hyperactive mind, ancestral or past life interference. A child consultation lasts for 1 hour and follow up consultations are available for shorter 45 minute appointments.

CRANIOSACRAL

In the first years of a baby’s life the skull is still forming. During child birth the skull naturally experiences compression and during a long labour or with forceps or any additional birth trauma we may see the baby or child experience challenging implications later in life.

This can show up as difficulty settling, difficulty nursing, sleeping and later in life this can show up as behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties, as well as physiological alignment issues. The best time to be able to help is during the first 7 years of life.

Our Craniosacral therapist Alani Klein will meet you and your child, very softly apply hands on key areas of the neck, skull and pelvis to bring about gentle alignment.
