Candace the founder and director of Little Jewels, and is a highly skilled and passionate Acupuncturist. She began the first three years of her Bachelor in Health Science while living in Melbourne, and graduated from Endeavor College of Natural Medicine in the Gold Coast in 2014. She spent her early years working in Multidisciplinary clinics with other practitioners such as Chiropractors and Remedial massage therapists, in the Gold Coast and the Byron Shire.

In 2016 Candace gave birth to her beautiful daughter Lily and ever since resided in the Byron Shire while continuing to practice and be inspired by her mother journey. Her practice name has always been under ‘Three Jewels Acupuncture’ and recently she created ‘Little Jewels’ in dedication of her passion for Paediatric Acupuncture for children. She has always found her self working closely with families including newborns, teens, mothers, fathers as well as grandparents. The past 7 years Candace has enjoyed working from home and making home visits to support woman during pregnancy, birth and post birth. Candace recently completed specialty training in Paediatric Acupuncture with her mentor Rebecca Avern who runs an inspirational clinic in the UK called the ‘Little Acupuncture Room’.

Candace grew up in a small beach town in Victoria Australia, to a family with part Chinese heritage. She was lucky to have learnt Reiki and become a Reiki master at an early and eager age of 10 with instruction from her Mother Sheryl Foo. She spent some of her earliest years on a rural property in South Australia where she felt nurtured by the elements of the red earth, bore water, hot sun, shaded gums and the animal life (with some of the deadliest snakes crawling on her doorstep). The family dingos taught her the instinct of the pack and how nature moved. Caring for the Dingos while they suffered from tick bite injury gave her more insight into the natural laws of life and how to care for the injured and unwell up until death came.

Candace believes the body is highly intelligent when facing illness. She discovered this first hand at the age of 18 when she experienced an almost fatal car accident, which left her with a severe brain injury that required a long recovery. Her recovery process gave her profound insight into healing her own body physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Her powerful insights on the nature of healing, and implementing those in her own healing process, meant that her recovery was much faster than anticipated.

Candace continues her studies into the classics of Acupuncture and Paediatric Acupuncture. She loves the community of Mullumbimby and surrounds and maintains a long term vision for keeping the Little Jewels on Bunjalung land supported, inspired and thriving!!!
